Who Is Allowed to Sign Up

The age question comes before everything else at registration, and in Canada it has more than one correct answer. The law says 18 or 19 depending on the province or territory, a provincial matter rather than a federal one. Our own threshold is 19+, deliberately the stricter one. What Villento itself requires is its own decision, published in its terms, and not something we can state for you.

Legal Gambling Age in Canada, Province by Province

Province by province, the legal minimum falls into two groups:

• 19 and over. Ontario, British Columbia and most other provinces
• 18 and over. Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec

The long version: 19 in Ontario, British Columbia and most provinces, and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. It is your address that decides, though nothing stops an operator applying one higher limit across the board.

Which Fields Matter, and Why

A licensed operator will normally ask for:

• Name and date of birth. the date of birth is what the age check runs against
• Email address. usually doubles as the login and the recovery route
• Address and country. decides which rules and which currency options apply
• A password. one you do not use anywhere else

Everything else is administration; the date of birth is the field the eligibility check actually uses. Accuracy matters less at this screen than it does later — but it is decided here, since the account name has to match your payment method further down the line.

What the Form Will Not Ask For

Registration does not usually involve uploading documents at all: no ID scan, no proof of address at this point. The document stage comes later, attached to cashing out rather than to joining. The First Few Minutes of a New Account

An account with no money in it is still a useful thing: you can look at the lobby, read the actual terms rather than a summary of them, and see what the cashier offers before committing anything. Two things are worth doing early. Set your own limits in the account settings before the first deposit rather than after it — our responsible gaming page covers the tools. Sign-Up on Mobile

A phone browser handles registration perfectly well; no download is part of the process. The one mobile-specific trap is autofill filling the birth date wrongly, which then looks like an age failure rather than a typo. For the wider mobile picture, see the app page.

When Not to Open an Account

A live self-exclusion is a reason not to register, not an obstacle to route around. Reach varies by scheme, and we make no claim about which one a given operator participates in. See the responsible gaming page for the tools and support contacts.

Registration Problems and What Causes Them

A registration that fails usually fails for an ordinary reason: a confirmation email sitting in spam, a password that does not meet the operator's rules, or a date of birth the form reads as under age. An address the operator does not serve is the other frequent cause, and that one is not a fault to fix — it is an eligibility answer. Hammering the button rarely helps — what the page says at the time is the real information.

Registering With a Licensed Operator

Licensed under Kahnawake Gaming Commission, which at this stage mostly means a longer form and clearer consent language. What it establishes is a route for disputes, nothing about quality.

The Password You Set Here

The password set during registration protects an account that will hold money and identity documents, which puts it in a different class from a forum login. One password, used nowhere else, does more than any special character requirement. Getting back in later is covered separately on the login page.
